Your information
Privacy
What happens to information when you browse DialCompare or follow a link to another service.
Browsing the site
DialCompare is a reading and comparison site. It does not provide user accounts, a contact form, a newsletter subscription or an AI calling service. You do not need to provide your name or phone number to use the comparison.
Hosting and security
Cloudflare delivers the site's pages and helps protect against abusive traffic. When you request a page, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and traffic routing information. It also processes network data to operate and secure its services. See the Cloudflare privacy policy for its explanation of these practices.
Your cookie choices
Google Analytics is optional. We load it only after you accept analytics in our cookie controls. You can reject it and still use the whole site. The same choice applies in every region for now; we do not currently use a regional consent policy. A Global Privacy Control signal keeps analytics blocked even if a saved preference allows it.
When you save a choice, a necessary cookie called site_consent remembers it for up to 182 days. Closing the controls without saving does not create that cookie. You can reopen the controls using Cookie preferences in the footer.
What optional analytics measures
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and which Visit provider buttons they follow. We send the page title and its canonical address without query parameters or fragments. A referring website is reduced to its origin; provider-button events identify the provider and the button's placement. We do not collect names, email addresses or phone numbers through these events.
Google's analytics code also processes browser and device information, cookie identifiers and network information, including your IP address, to provide its service and approximate location reporting. Read how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google privacy policy for its processing practices.
We leave enhanced measurement, Google signals, user-provided data collection and advertising personalization disabled. We do not run advertising tags, session replay or Cloudflare's automatic browser monitoring. Cloudflare's hosting and security processing still takes place.
Storage and retention
After you accept analytics, Google Analytics uses cookies named _ga and _ga_<identifier> to distinguish visits and sessions. Our configuration limits their lifetime to the remaining duration of your saved choice, at most 182 days, and does not extend it on each visit. These cookies and the preference cookie are restricted to this hostname and use Secure and SameSite=Lax settings.
Our live Analytics property uses a 14-month retention setting for user and event data, with renewal on new activity disabled. This setting does not limit most standard reports based on aggregated data. Development checks use a separate testing property with two-month retention.
Changing your mind
Open Cookie preferences in the footer and choose Reject optional to stop future analytics collection and remove the analytics cookies. This does not delete information already sent to Google. You can remove the saved choice itself by clearing this site's cookies in your browser. An expired or outdated choice cannot authorize analytics; we will ask again when needed.
Provider links
Following a provider link takes you to another website. That website can process your information under its own privacy policy. Review its terms before submitting contact, business or payment details. Our current funding arrangements are described on the disclosure page.
Changes to this page
We will update this page when the site's features, measurement tools or service providers change.
